CERAMIC CEREMONIES

Admission Requirements and Restrictions: Only individuals aged 18 and older.

Official Language: All our experiences, technical instructions, and group dynamics are conducted exclusively in Spanish. If Spanish is not your native language, you can access our PDF class guides translated into English free of charge.

The company reserves the right of admission to the studio under any circumstance to guarantee a safe and harmonious space. A full refund of the ceremony value will be guaranteed within the following days (payment processing fees incurred at the time of registration are non-refundable).

General Recommendations:

Your process, your rules: This session is designed for you to connect and explore with your hands from scratch. We are not looking for technical perfection here, but for the absolute enjoyment of creating without rush.

Your own creation: Hand-molded and painted 100% by you, you will take home one piece (mug, bowl, or plate) or two pieces (if choosing free creation) with your own energy imprinted on them. You can choose 1 out of multiple available options, each with simple 3-step PDF guides. Additionally, we will share a general technique demonstration during the ceremony.

A friendly tip: We recommend coming with short nails; your hands will be your main tools, and molding the clay will be much more comfortable.

Punctuality: We have a 15-minute grace period. We suggest arriving 15 minutes before the scheduled time to start with ease. Please note that any no-show by a participant is non-refundable.

Parking: Please keep in mind that the studio does not have private parking on the premises.

Reservations and Spot Allocations: Registration for our ceramic ceremonies is finalized exclusively upon confirmation of full workshop payment. To guarantee the quality of the experience, verbal or provisional reservations will not be accepted.

When will new dates for ceramic ceremonies become available? Bookings open at the beginning of each month and are strictly valid for dates within that same calendar month (future months are not available for advance booking). We recommend checking our website or social media channels during the first days of each month to secure your spot.

Session Direction and Teaching Staff: Ceramic ceremonies are scheduled and led primarily by Vera. However, to guarantee workshop continuity and prevent unforeseen cancellations due to force majeure, health, or contingencies, the studio reserves the right to appoint a highly qualified alternate instructor or assistant to lead the session. This change in teaching staff shall not constitute grounds for refund requests, returns, or rescheduling by the participant.

Session Dynamics and Creative Process: General Methodology: As an introductory experience for most participants, the ceremony will begin with the guided meditation and will continue with the instruction of the basic structure of a mug and its handle. From this technical foundation, participants will have the freedom to shape and customize their piece, provided they adhere strictly to the guidelines and structural procedures delivered by the instructor during the ceremony to ensure technical firing viability.

Participants with Prior Experience: Users with prior knowledge or experience in handling stoneware clay may freely develop a project or piece of their choice according to their personal preference, keeping in mind the guides instructions.

Application of Underglazes (Ceramic Painting): The process of decoration and painting using underglazes will be governed by full creative freedom for the participant, allowing them to design the surface of their piece according to their personal preference.

Quality Control and Unforeseen Events in the Firing Process (Broken or Cracked Pieces):

Acceptance of Technical Risks: The participant declares awareness and acceptance that ceramics is an artisanal craft subject to complex physical and chemical variables during drying and kiln firing stages (exceeding 1000 °C / 1832 °F). Due to reasons beyond studio control and inherent to the nature of the material, a residual margin of risk exists where pieces may undergo structural alterations.

Exoneration of Liability: The Sacred Ceramics is not responsible for technical or aesthetic issues such as cracks (large or small), detached handles, fissures, fractures, or total breakage of pieces occurring inside the kiln or during the cooling process.

Catering and Beverage Service Specifications: The participant accepts and declares knowledge of the complimentary beverage and supplies offering included in the session price.

Further use of the finished piece: Your created piece is food-safe and microwave-safe.
